Caroni was established in 1918 and can be found in the centre of Trinidad's Caroni plains. It is a single estate distillery and possesses its own sugar plant. In the very early days they used a cast iron pot still, which in later years was replaced with a single column style still. Caroni became famous for its very distinctive heavy style of rum.

Bottled by Velier from a stock of 7 barrels which yielded 2700 bottles.
This is the first exclusive 2000 vintage Caroni bottled for the US.
