Authentic and rare! The sugar canes used to create this Hors d'Age rum were harvested in 1998. Maturation in vats and distillation according to ancestral know-how allowed this agricultural rum to benefit from a long aging of twelve years in oak barrels. . Bottled at the beginning of 2011 at its natural strength (43°) and without filtration, this exceptional rum with a deep brown color and mahogany highlights.
If enjoyed pure, preferably after a meal. Each note stands out: on the nose, vanilla, cinnamon, caramelized and woody notes mixed with scents of spices, prune, cherry. On the palate, its extraordinary richness, full of power and roundness, reveals flavors of dried fruit, toasted almond, vanilla and spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, licorice).
At the end of tasting, its persistence offers the palate a veiled, slightly smoky, pleasant and subtle sensation.
